Paul Gilbert is probably the only 15-year old guitarist to be featured in
Guitar Player magazine. That was some time ago and Gilbert is currently 46, but is still wowing audiences and the media with his guitar prowess.
GuitarOne rated Gilbert at #4 in the Top 10 of Guitar Shredders and he appears on the unranked
Guitar World’s “50 Fastest Guitarist of All Time” list.
Today’s Tasty Licks Tuesday selection comes from Gilbert’s 2010 album “Fuzz Universe” and includes his take on J.S. Bach’s “Partita in Dm.” Many of the best guitarists in the world have been influenced by classical music and shredders like Gilbert share much in common with these composers of old. Crank it up.
